Horseback Riding in Island Park, Idaho
Come out and enjoy authentic western cowboy hospitality at its best! Ride horses on a huge, beautiful,
working cattle ranch and its surrounding mountains in Island Park, Idaho. Great horses, beautiful scenery,
lots of wildlife and guides that really know their stuff all combine to
give you a fantastic experience!
Our riding area adjoins Yellowstone National Park to the east, Targhee National Forest to the west, and the
rough, mountainous, Continental Divide (which separates Idaho and Montana) to the north! Popular destinations
include Golden Lake, Roosevelt Trail, Meadow/East Shore, Thurman Ridge, Snake River/Big Bend,
Coyote Gulch, Island Park and Teton Peaks Overlook and many, many more!
Experience the thrill of riding up into the mountainous areas high above the
rest of the countryside and looking down at the vast beauty below.
Wildlife is always seen on the rides. You will also see range cows in the mountain meadows and horses
running free in the pastures. Some of the horseback rides are near the Henry's Fork of the Snake River, which
boasts some of the best trout fishing in the world, beautiful majestic water falls, and absolutely clear sparkling
water; the source of this famous river is just a few miles up-stream from the ranch!
Dry Ridge Outfitters offer trail rides in Harriman State Park, or on the west side of the Tetons, the Targhee National Forest
and the Jedediah Smith Wilderness as well as Yellowstone National Park, specializing in the Bechler region. They can be reached at
